Breast Cancer Anger

Chapter 71 (cont'd)
Penelope sighed, "Good Dream! But what does this have to do with the quote by Penney?"
"I'm not sure exactly but she was the woman who is credited as one of the creators of the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness."

"And that ties in to the dream, how?"
"Well, years ago I used to say, 'You know, if a disease was lopping off the sensual extremities of the male population, it would have long ago been addressed and money would have been funneled toward curing that problem... ASAP."
Penelope laughed at the image, "You may have a point there. A Eunuch society is a little unappealing."
"Someone that I know is, currently, battling that breast cancer demon and I just think we should honour Alexandra for her contribution to the 'awareness' of the disease."
Penelope replied, "Wasn't she also the victim of that Ponzi scheme?"
"Yes, and I can't count how many times I've been screwed over in life by people who simply had the power to do it! NO MORALS but the power! It's time those tables were turned!"
Image after image after image of injustices streamed through Simmys' mind, this time like a bad dream!
Penelope shouted, "Yah! Why should women do all the moral work but be left with empty pockets? Yah! Why should that be? Man, I'm mad now! I'm really mad!"
Penelope asked brusquely, "What is your artistic expression for this topic?"
"I took a picture of a 'Pink Tree' in full bloom in Spring. Then, yesterday I was cycling past that tree and I gasped at the fruit on it! I've never seen a tree with so much fruit so... I took a picture and juxtaposed it with the Spring tree."
Penelope asked, "What's the message?"
"It's a community tree! It doesn't belong to anyone! It sits in the middle of a cul-de-sac that is city property."
"So...?"
Simmy blew out her lips, "The problem is a 'community shared' one and needs that kind of support and I think we're actually 'getting there' with it, finally."
