Chapter 90 (cont'd)
It had been a busy day.
Sam had loaded the vehicles with more supplies for the shoppe.
There had been a 'surprise attack' or two from people one would not expect it from. It also seemed possible that the enemy of families was busy creating lies and subterfuge... none of it of any prosperous kind.
Sam and Simmy applied themselves to making a tree display. It turned out really well. The picture had been drawn a few years ago when Simmy was in school.
In the afternoon, a flash of memory had her searching for the sketchbook and when she found the picture, she knew what it had been drawn for. At the time she hadn't liked the picture... the tree had seemed childishly 'simple' but today she realized that it had to be simple for the type and scale of the project.
Strange how things recorded in the past spin into the future.
A May 24, 2009 journal entry said... "A moment will come in each of your relationships where you will either celebrate them or judge them." Quote by P.A. Duncalfe
It had been difficult to understand the opposite of celebrate. Sam said it was 'jealousy.' P.A. thought it was judging and maybe the one leads to the other.
Well, he'd been right about that. Many people found it really hard to celebrate someone else or someone else's success. P. A. had been so right about that.
Today, on Remembrance Day, it was a good day to remember that we all choose and a great day to remember that we still can.
