Cheshire Sprawl

Chapter 84 (cont'd)
Jayne called to see if Simmy had secured the rental place for the next movie scene.
"Simmy, I'm available to help you move stuff into the place today." Jayne was chirpy and sweet.
"Sorry, Love, Polish Ed who lives on Fib Street has not come through. I found an add on Kijiji tonight while I was hunting for another location. It seems there's an advertisement for a spot in this same complex but I didn't see any other empty space."
"Oh, oh, better tell J.P. We've been delayed a week already."
"He had his office girls tell us he wasn't 'there' today but when we went back to our vehicle, he was hurriedly trying to get into his big ole Lincoln. He said he was still trying to get the furnace checked out because there may be a safety issue. I made sure I pressed him about the other tenants' safety with all those election people working there. He said that wasn't an issue."
"He'd better be right about that," Jayne was sounding tough, a result of having been with an abusive husband.
"He has lied to us three times for sure, so I'm not quite sure what to do about this. What do you think?"
Jayne sighed heavily, "Maybe check the 'Exchange.' There may be a spot there."
"We'll try that tomorrow. I'm just looking at my cat and envying his Cheshire sprawl relaxation."
